Subtitle Time Shift
Paste SRT and move every cue earlier or later by the same amount. Review the complete result before choosing to download.
Text is processed in this page's memory; changing language or leaving clears the draft.
Paste text; no video or audio is read. Up to 2,000 cues and 1,048,576 raw UTF-8 bytes. See the format limits below.
0 to 3,600 seconds, such as 1.25. Use ASCII digits.
Paste SRT, choose a direction and amount, then shift.

UTF-8, no BOM, with LF newlines. Each download link lasts 30 seconds, up to eight at once. Browser settings may show a save prompt; this page cannot confirm that the file was saved.
Format and usage limits
This tool supports the SRT subset documented here, rather than every dialect. Read the Library of Congress overview of SubRip.
Check the supported SRT format
- Each cue has an index, a timing line and one to ten text lines, in that order. Separate cues with blank lines. Lines containing only ASCII spaces or tabs also count as separators.
- Indexes have one to six ASCII digits, with values 1 to 999999, strictly increasing. Leading zeros and gaps are kept; output is not renumbered.
- Use
00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:02,500with at least one ASCII space or tab on each side of the arrow. Hours are two digits from 00 to 99, minutes and seconds are 00 to 59, and milliseconds have three digits. Omit surrounding spaces and settings. Start must precede end. - Text lines can have up to 1,000 Unicode characters. Surrounding spaces and HTML-looking text are preserved literally. A numeric index followed by a timing line is unsupported as subtitle text; check for a missing separator.
- Raw input is limited to both 1,048,576 UTF-16 units and 1,048,576 UTF-8 bytes, including BOM and original newlines. NUL and incomplete Unicode characters are rejected. Only one initial BOM is removed; CRLF and CR become LF.
- Indexes and input order are kept, including overlapping cues and cues out of time order. Output uses one space around the arrow, one blank line between cues, and exactly one final LF.
How do I shift SRT subtitle timing?
Paste SRT text supported by this tool, choose earlier or later, enter seconds, and review the complete result.
How far can I shift it?
The amount is 0 to 3,600 seconds with up to three decimal places; every shifted cue must remain between 00:00:00,000 and 99:59:59,999.
Why was the whole subtitle file rejected?
This tool accepts only its documented SRT subset. A format error or any cue outside the time range rejects the entire result.
Does it read video or upload subtitles?
No. Pasted text is processed in this page's memory; no video, audio, or cloud processing is used. Opening the page still downloads website files. This version does not save data or promise full offline use.
Can it fix gradually increasing desynchronization?
No. It applies exactly the same time offset to every cue. It does not transcribe, convert VTT or choose an offset, and cannot guarantee synchronization with a particular video.
